This piece is deeply influenced by the French philosopher, Jean Baudrillard, who claims that “our current society has replaced all reality and meaning with symbols and signs, and that human experience is a simulation of reality”. In the context of the technology-ruled contemporary world, all kinds of virtual realities have emerged and integrated into our daily lives. People wander around between their physical and digital presences. The boundary between our physical bodies and digital avatars no longer exists, and both our biological and digital selves have become “reality”.
